I'm gonna catch a matinee tomorrow. The suspense is killin me. The first one is one of my favorite movies ever. I think I saw it 4 or 5 times in the theater and close to a billion times since I got the DVD (on the day it came out, of course). All the sounds on my computer are clips from that movie; my favorite is when I empty the recycle bin Jack says, "but why is the rum gone".

ARRRRRR!!!! Went to see "Cars" last night (loved it!) and there was a line to see "Pirates..." all the way down and across the lobby. We were there at 6:00 and they had already sold out the 8:30 show - and the 4 in between. Think I'll wait a couple of weeks...

I watched a 2 part 4 hour series on TV last week on "Black Beard" Good movie.
Sponsored by "Disney" Now imagine that

Seems every time a big blockbuster comes out, TV is full of "similar topic programming" to get our attention.

I'm sure this is one my 13 year old will get me to see with her.

have you ever been to the new Moolah theatre on Lindell? that is right next to my office and i'm planning to go over there for a 6:30 show after work one day this week -

If you haven't been to the Moolah you should really check it out - with a beer and an overstuffed sloppy leather couch there's no better way to watch a movie in Saint Louis...

Everybody in the NL Central has been sucking the last couple of weeks or so. That's the only reason my Cards are still on top.

Its very very good but doesn't hit you as hard the first one did as we now are used to Jack Sparrow. Davy Jones is excellent! They really let you know at the end that this is a mid-piece as...well you have to see it.
Effects are superb, lots of humor - best of the season so far.

Went and saw it last night. Wasn't as good as the first IMO. Dragged a little, story kinda went off on tangents, but on a brighter side the effects were good. Definately left it open for the next one. All in all, I liked the first one better. More entertaining.

With you, Tazzman. I think it's the kind of film you have to see twice to catch all of the tangents and peripheral stuff going on. And people seem to show up in places without any obvious way of having got there! Good for all that, though.

c'mon you guys! that was killer!! i laughed my ass off!!! it's great and you should all go see it - leave whatever female thing you usually drag along and get a couple of beers first (or DURING if you are lucky enough, as i am, to have theatre you can drink in) and
