ok guys how much power do ya gain by swapping cams? like any dyno proof? 650 cam in a 550

you put a 650 cam in because its cheap. Cheap people are not going to spend the money on a dyno run to find out they gained 2hp. Its more power for cheap, end of story. You want performance, get a real cam and higher compression big bore pistons.

lol i gotcha man...im not doing anything engine performance wise to mine this year anyways...when i do whats a good place to get performance parts?

Im not hating on the 650 cam, I have one on my shelf for my next build but for my current build i went the HyPo stuff. The best place that i know of to get it is http://www.dynoman.net/. I bought pistons, cam, gaskets, e-ignition....he has what ever you need.

don't know what the 650 cam on it's own will do, but the 650 has a very lively engine, but that would include the head as well.

I see 650's around me cheap and 500's with stuck engines, my mind is racin now. I started making vroom vroom noises already

 I'll let you know soon. Still gathering parts. The motor mounts are all the same. Some wiring differences. I'll be doing a thread when I start the swap.

so im assuming lowering 3 inches aint doing much for the handling? lol...i wanted to put cbr forks on it cuz i got some cbr parts..including the swing arm an pro-link mono shock ;)...3 inches puts it jus bout right...im stuck with stock forks till next year...money is key...lol
