Impossible to make good performance with filter pods ?
« on: February 27, 2013, 12:40:10 PM »
Hello again bikers.

I'm doing an engine rebuild with some minor updates :) 836cc, cx-2 cam (41A), bigger intake valve and a mild port job. Hopefully this would make a bit of I difference going from a stock with bad valves. :-)

My carb idea is to reuse stock roundtop carbs, jetting and adjusting them I planning to do myself with an A/F gauge.

But! Is it even possible to make good performance and drivability with pod filters (open ) ?? I really hate the look of the stock air box, and I have pods filters on before, but is it an hp killer ? Is there any other option other than the stock air box ??

Thank you
