I wonder if Marcia escaped the attentions of those Hollywood sexual predator types who are being investigated at the moment? I remember Cory Feldman once said that he and Cory Haim were regularly sexually abused by a big Hollywood star when they were child actors, and today I heard on the news that it's been claimed that Cory Haim's sexual abuser was none other than Charlie Sheen? Its a sick place, Hollywood.........

Good to see you bumping the thread again.  Imagine that photo made you want far more than the skates.  I recall when the shimmery polyester was in vogue...  imagine it will have a comeback.  Look back at the athletic shorts and Basketball uniforms of the 60-70s...

If a guy wore that style today he would be thought of in a certain way and be laughed at by many...probably even those who lived through it.  It was not until my father was retired and quite old before he would wear short pants...characteristic of many in their 80s and 90 s

But, yes Marcia's been responsible for many a young male's dreams I am sure.

Hope you have gotten some good riding in this summer, but your riding season probably is not over if you have some moderately cold weather cycle gear.

I bet she had her share of unwanted advances and more I would think Terry. Hate to say it RAF but done very little riding or anything with the bikes this summer.

I am sure she was hit on a lot. She admitted on the Howard Stern show that when she was seriously addicted she would do anything you wanted for a bag of powder. Very sad indeed.

So, do I need to make a trip and drag you out for a ride this fall/winter...you don't see too much snow there right?  Motorcycle riding is good therapy. 

We are forecasted to be milder winter, but here where I am it could go either way with elevation playing a role we could be a pocket of exception to the rest of the region.  The mountains have a way of squeezing moisture out of the air and even with warm temps it can snow fairly easily once the conditions drop to start snowing.  Bugs were bad this year, cannot imagine they will be much better if it is mild again this year.

I need to be riding regularly too.  I was not able to start school as I had hoped, could not get the finances lined up.

Ha ha - yes those were the days. Went regularly with some 4H club people and there was that heart throbbing time always when the lights would dim and the girls would get on one side of the rink and the boys on the other. Then the girl would skate by and maybe pick a boy she wanted to skate the next song with. Heavy stressful stuff !!    I always raced in the 'schooner' races also where one guy would be crouched low and the other guy pushed from the back.  Fun times.

I would like to thank everyone for the last 13 pages which have helped fill in a quiet Thursday morning at work, ain't seen nothing I didn't like. however i'd like to give an honourable mention to Jan Brady (eve plumb) who, whiolst not being the glamour kitten that Marcia undoubtedly was, grew up to be as hot or hotter than Marcia herself
