Those emblems don't show up to often. Someone here might need it.

I've been looking for that front emblem for my 78 for about a year.... It would be super awesome if you would sell it to me.

Already have dibs on it. Sent him a PM earlier today.

If it changes we will sure let you know.  ;)

Glad it arrived safely John. It's not perfect, but it will go very nice for a restoration. It will also look perfect where it's at.

I still don't know how she got the paint to stick, but she did. :)

My $100 ultra rare emblems came in (reproductions). :)

They are exceptional (and made of steel), but I have to figure out how to make them contoured. I don't think it's acceptable to install them without contouring them because you can easily get something caught in one of the edges walking around the bike. I'll have to email the vender...I'm pretty sure the original emblems are contoured. Maybe Steve-O and ToyTuff can confirm.

John, did you start a build thread on your bike? Would like to see how that emblem looks.

Yes guys, still not painted yet. Mostly because of K&K cycles. They completely misplaced my order and now I have to wait an extra week before working out a date/time with the paintshop. Annoying.

Those look very nice and good to hear they are metal. The originals are soft metal and easily bendable, these should be too.  Bend carefully.

I'm dissaponted with K and K too, called to order tank stripes, left message and no call back. WTF, why do they tell you to do so if they not call back?

Build thread? No, I just buy them already done now.  :P Easier.  :D

Say, did you buy that 125 S yet? That is a sweetheart.

If the other half doesn't crash it when she moves up and takes yours I'll buy that one.

You can move up to a CBX.  ;)

I have an appointment with the painter this Tuesday at 10:30am. That's when it will be painted. You guys should be seeing some exciting updates on the CB750.

Been collecting a few others in the meantime...

I've been following your CB450 thread over on Honda twins.   You got a killer deal on that one.
You mentioned in that thread that you'll be tearing it down in March.    What are your plans for it?

Also, is that a late-70's to early 80's CB125S (red) in the pic there?   What's the status on that one?
It's a neat little run-around-town bike.

Hi jas!

The cb450 will be my first frame off restoration. I already have someone to do the blasting and powdercoating. It probably will be an ever so slightly modified restoration. Stuff like a different color scheme, aftermarket master cylinder, and that's about all the deviation from stock that I plan on doing. The engine will be rebuilt. I've been driving the cb450 as much as possible. It has been my first riding experience (sorry cb750).

Let me say this, if you guys want some of the most compliments you can get around town, drive a cb450. In just 8 days of driving it, I've had to stop and talk with 10 people.  :-*

Know the feeling all to well on the CBX.  ;)

I found a nice 68 CB 450 but not for 4K.  :o

Love the 125S! Glad you secured it. Keep an eye out for a Super 90 (S-90) and I'll do a road trip your way.  :)

Jas, it's a '78 CB125s. Picked it up for $1,000 yesterday. $3,000 miles, all original.

Must have been firm on price. Thought you would get it for less than asking price.

Still very nice.

If I would have asked less than his asking, then we would have had to wait in line after the next person. The bike was just too much in outstanding condition to not give him what he's asking, which is $500 less than what it's worth. He delivered it 18 miles back to my place, by the way.

Nice find on the 125, well worth the $1K.  Is the frame on the 450 that rusty?

Frame on the 450 isn't rusty at all, but I do see some repainting going on here and there. Best to just start fresh.

This would probably be a good candidate for a simple scuff and spray, but I figure why not go the whole mile? The guy who does my blasting and powder coating works for cheap, and does a superb job.

I had some nice molding but gave it to Stev-o. Couldn't sell it.

That stuff there is just Auto Parts stuff. Can get it about anywhere.

This one of the many joys of riding a classic bike.    You'll get the same on your 750 when its done.    I experience the same with my CB400F and my CB360T.

Jas, it's a '78 CB125s. Picked it up for $1,000 yesterday. $3,000 miles, all original.

That is a gem, nice find, and another good deal.    It'll give you something to ride while the 450 is down for the resto -- or are you waiting 'till the 750 is on the road first.

I see you've got MHMCS (Multiple Honda Motorcycle Syndrome).    It is quite common on this forum.    You'll see from the signatures many of us have that many of us have it, so you're in good company.

I found a nice 68 CB 450 but not for 4K.  :o

Love the 125S! Glad you secured it. Keep an eye out for a Super 90 (S-90) and I'll do a road trip your way.  :)

tt

tt -- nice 450!   I love the K1's.     As for the S90, are looking for one ready to ride, or a project?    I love them too, but don't currently have room for another bike.
