There is an adjustment period, when I retired the wife was on a 6 week medical leave. It was hard on her, I usually worked 10's and had at least 2 hours travel. she missed her alone time. NOO problemo I headed to the shop! Now she's back to work, I do some housework, (only fair) and enjoy it.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

Enjoy. Most people of my generation will never get to retire. Pensions are a thing of the past, unionn busting, rising age for social security, and healthcare costs  will make it a long shot.

be careful to not overload the To Do List...

Oh, I got this figured out real quick!  ;D

I now know why retired folks say they have to much to do, to many projects, don't know how I got anything done, I'm so busy..blah..blah.

You tend to postpone things because you have the time to do so. I did it all week! Well, two days I just watched old movies on TCM and listened to the wind blow!

Just like McDonald's.."I'm lovin it!"

You have to remember that I paid into my own retirement at a very high rate. 11% of income.

I also paid a tier 1 tax which is the same as a Social Security tax. I paid 2 tax rates.

This is not a Federal pension but a pension I paid into. Paid a lot too. I'll colect as long as possible.  ;)

I don't begrudge you for your retirement success, toytuff. You earned it...congratulations. 38 years old. I contribute the max, 15%, to my 401k but it will never be enough to retire on.
