Swingarm question
« on: November 13, 2012, 04:07:22 AM »
I think I know the answer, but still want to verify before I spent money.

To install F2 rear wheel into K3 frame I need wider swing arm - that is a fact, tried it with K0 and it does not fit.

Wider swing arm can be from 76, 77 or 78 Cb750K or from CB750F1/F2  - correct or not?

Wider swing arm will fit into K3 frame with minimal adjustmens - correct or not?

Thank you.

You can exchange the sprocket carriers to properly align the wheel with the K3 motor-sprocket.  If you switch the swingarm for the wider sprocket you will have to get an off-set sprocket from Cycle-X..........F2-3 with disk brake & K7-8 with drum. You will also need to exchange or modify the chaingaurd.

Thank you.   I have actually F2 engine to go to that K3 frame - it will line up just fine.

If you attempt to use the later swinging arm in the K3 frame I think you will find that the shock absorber mounts will not line up.

Good luck

Yes, I expect that.  I will need to reweld them to line them up. Should not be a big deal since I have to fab bracket for the rear master cylinder too.
