Source for CB750K3 Throttle Return Spring and Rubber Sheath?
« on: November 14, 2012, 09:56:38 AM »
Anyone know an aftermarket spring/sheath that works well?  Lots of spring options, but since I've never seen an original, I'm not sure what will work best.  The one I'm running right now doesn't provide enough resistance to close the throttle.

Thanks.

i have a used one if you want to go that route, $6 shipped
You can also measure the length of your spring, and bend/trim the ends so it is 1/4"-3/8" shorter. Thats what I did on my bike and now its nice and springy.

also make sure your throttle cables are lubed and smooth

I ordered a new one, but thanks for the offer.  What's another 2,500 yen when I've blown much more than that to date.  New Honda cables also ordered, so hopefully this and careful cable routing will solve the problem.  Hondaman also recommends extending the carb slides to the top before screwing on the caps to insure the slides and arms align properly.  Now I know why they are spring loaded.
