Just got my second bike. My first never got any miles until it was time to get it ready to sell a few years later. Just picked up a '75 CB550K1 with a little over 50,000 on it for $850. My goal was to get something for under $1000 that I could ride home. Mission accomplished.
Have clocked over 200 miles in less than 2 weeks, cleaned up my caliper and rotor, rebuilt and (sorta) bench synced my carbs, cleaned #2. Put in #1 and #2 exhaust gaskets, broke a head pipe stud, and put on a 350 seat to get something that wouldn't act like a sponge if it got wet.
I can be a bit of an excitable guy, and I'm pretty excited about my CB, in case you can't tell. It runs the way it's supposed to some parts of some days, and those are very good days.
Can't wait until those good days are a little more frequent. Until then I'm riding, reading, learning and planning my cosmetic strategy.
Sorry you gave me an account yet?
