I have a little CB125S and it takes a 15 tooth fr. sprocket;your little CB100 takes a 14 tooth fr.
The oem Honda front countershaft sprocket is much beefier & harder steel than a JT or other China-sprocket & will last you at least twice as long;it's well worth the extra small change they want for it..

I hear you,I love my little Honda  ;D and to me it's a 'Do-All-Anytime gas mileage champ'. I can very easily fit it into my life  :) I'll be moving soon and want to sell my other 2 and keep it for one reason is because it's so small and will fit inside a smaller size trailer along w/ my other stuff. Did you ever get your engine rebuild finished ?

Got the engine rebuilt to the best of my knowledge.

Hasn't been started yet, just put back together.

Lost that stupid spring to the carb, so just decided to order another from ebay.

Still need a battery, and play with the electrical connectors to ensure I'm getting juice.

Will it be ok to fire up the engine without the sprocket and chain?

Haha yeah that'll probably do it. I soaked my CB1000C carbs in Pine Sol as recommended on the DOHC forum.. left 'em in there for ~48 hours and it ate some of the plating off steel components. I guess the trick is to check it every 12 hours or so.

Got that list plus, still over 100 degrees in the garage..........................

Did you need to do any work on your fuel tank inside? my tank has lot's of rust and needs more work.I've done the vinegar clean a few times but it's getting thin so I may have to coat it. ever tried Red-Kote ?

Oh yeah, forgot to post that.....................................:

The tank on the bike was toast, and I mean swiss cheese toast.

So I bought another, and found it really rusted inside after it got here.

I did give the tank the vinegar treatment and noticed little pin holes on the bottom.

Ended with this.

Now I don't know what to do.............................................

Yea, think I seen that too, not really sure I want to do that. May be my only alternative though, I still have time for that anyways.

I also have a small tank I will use to start it. Still in need of a front sprocket and chain, so won't be able to ride it, just want to hear it run.

It sat leaning on a guys barn for about 15 to 20 years.

Heck, the barn was falling down around it.

I actually tore an engine down replace the piston rings and bored the cylinder .050mm over spec.

And it ran.

I have a CB125 that I restored. I couldn't stop grinning when I fired it up ;D. A huge departure from the sohcs.
