Replace! Now you know that you can do it.

Well, found a bolt that doesn't break when slightly over tightening.

Got a chance to kick it again, and it fires only with the choke fully on.

After starting, and turning the choke off, she revs way up, and kind of idles weird. Sorta pulsates, hi then low.

Well, ordered the sprocket and chain.

Got a kicker coming from a guy from another forum.

Still waiting for the wire harness, too.

Played with the kicker I have currently, and got it running again......played with the carb needles......think I screwed it up more.

Got it to idle on it's own. But, not sure if it's right or not, gotta wait till the stuff comes in, so I can ride it.

Don't want to let it idle too, too long. Don't want to overheat it.

With newly rebuilt engine, don't want to over throttle it either. So, guess I still have a ways to go.

Darn little thing bite me too. All these bikes I have and never have been burned by the exhaust, but this little booger got me.

Damit man......that hurts.

I also have a few rear sprockets:

35

38

40

I know, I probably should have invested into a new rear sprocket along with the chain and front sprocket.........................

But, I didn't.....once I figure which one performs the best, then I'll buy a new one.

Well, in my excitement that I got a chain, and was able to push start this thing I made a big mistake.

I installed the chain, and didn't get the clip on good enough, and threw the darn thing.

Crapo, crap, crap.......................

BUTTTTTT.......I was able to ride up and down the street a few times, and she runs and rides.....dayyyyuuum, after 15 or 20 some odd years of resting up against a rotting shed.

I wish I could have gotten pics, and video.

I can't get the videos I have now of it running posted so, guess it doesn't matter.

Another thing too, I need to get the original shift lever, that has the heel side. Trying to get my toe up under the lever was tough. And a new brake pedal, or at least take mine off and bend it out some, cause it rubs the exhaust.

Geeesh, more parts on top of the parts I still need, and the list just keeps on growing.

But, I'm a happy camper, with where it's at, at the moment.

Guess, I can start playing with the 750 and try to get it back running again. (Carb issues)

Got another master link at the local Suzuki shop.

Made sure the clip was clipped, rode kinda shaky, guess I'm just not used to riding something that small.

I read the book on front fork oil and the book says to put the fluid in when you have them apart.

Well, I thought you put them together like I did the 750, and put the oil in.

Will it be ok to add the oil now, or do I need to tear the front end back down?

Other than that just kinda weird to be trying to ride something this small at 55 to 60 mph.

Work is 21 miles away, and there's one road that the speed limit is 55. And at 5 am in the morning there's crazies out there.

It does seem like it will be a fun bike to ride on occasion back and forth to work.

But, better yet, git the wife out on it.

Thanks......................

Well sorta.......................I was just able to ride it down to the end of the street and around the back yard w/o crashing or throwing chains, or parts.

I still need parts, such as, tank, seat, headlight assembly, rig up some sort of fork ears for that headlight.

Apparently, I'm gonna need a taillight assembly now, cause I can't find the one that was on the bike when I got it.

I may have trashed it when I first got it, cause I didn't figure I'd ever get this far with this little bike.

Because I had the cylinder bored to .50mm over the factory spec, will that have any affect on the carb, or any other timing issues?

yes, stock exhaust. New carb from florida. Doesn't have any markings on the jet to tell me what size.

Yep, the overflow tube. I've pulled the carb and cleaned the float needle and valve.

I'm thinking of changing the bowl with my original and see it maybe the brass tube is split.

Just thought I'd mention that if you're having trouble finding 6v instrument bulbs, there are a lot of sellers on Ebay who provide LED replacements. I just got 10 for my MT250 for $6!
Bright, cool blue and very rarely need replacing.
