Free style wiring
« on: March 24, 2013, 12:22:21 PM »
OK so I'm hoping to rewire my bike 100% I've ripped off everything mounted stuff in differant places and plan on doing away with as much as possible. I plan on the basics brakes, turns,HL, start, horn. I figure I can wire each individually to a new fuse block and that's about as far as my thoughts have gone. I'm no electrician nor have I ever wired a bike before the idea seems simple but just wondering what I really need to do. Does anyone have a basic wiring diagram I could use or know where I can get one? I've found a couple cheesy ones but nothing that seems real legit. I also plan on changing out ignition and coils but I dint think that will be a huge factor once I get a plan of attack. Does this wiring diagram look right enough?

Use a 30amp relay in conjuction with the ignition switch. Old switches usually draw to much current and lead to charging issues especially when using super coils and electronic ignitions.
