Crazy engine explosion

Probably should be in the Open Forum but....Tractorpulling insane engine blow up, Engine flys out of the tractor!  Freaking runs over the engine. ;D

Oh man my heart sank when I saw this thread. I had visions of your billet block blowing up or something. Glad it was only a tractor pull ;D


Seriously though, that was insane! What could have caused that kind of explosion?

Don't jinx me man. ;D No... my engine sounds great. i will get a short vid this week when #1 son is home from school. As for the blow up...I don't know.......too much boost, fuel, timing etc.....they were "experimenting". Nature has a way of letting you know when you have found the limit. ;)

Lol that's a vid from Dutch tv with a Dutch team ( I am Dutch ) Not my cup of tea, tractorpulling, but some guys down here put a lot of money into that sport, and really really tune their engines to the max ( and more  8) )

On a side note; I believe a Dutch team even travelled the US cause they won everything in Europe an got bored with that, I believe they also won some races in the us, with their tractor. I think it were these guys http://www.teamlambada.com/

I met the "clutch guy" from one of the Danish teams......hot$hit kid. Just a kid too just like my oldest. Confident...telling about meeting John Force...."I'll tune your clutch to". They believed him! Wonderful experience....Glad Jerry RX was there. Glad he was there to verify that conversation (if he remembers). ;D

At a local fair once one double engined tractor spit out several red hot spark plugs during a pull. Amazingly no one was on the receiving end.

Not as exciting as this crazy vid!

wow.  Older post, but I missed it.  Thanks M.    ....I also was worried that either one of your's or a customer's motor blew up.  For the record, I assumed it was NOT one of your blocks -- those are too awesome to ever blow up.....

Seemed like the tranny let go and kicked it out of there..IDK.  Ok lookEd again and I see the pistons in the bay afterwards...wild
