Rear wheel bearings

1978 750K
What is the best price anyone has found for the All Balls kit. Three bearings and a seal. Why do you need the seal if you go with double seal bearings? To keep crap out not grease in?

I also wonder who the manufacture is of the all balls bearing?? Anyone ever look for a name on the bearing ??

That's interesting that it has the seal in the kit! I haven't seen those since the 1980s. Maybe I should get one: mine is all cracked and split. It's there to keep grit out, because the OEM bearings were only sealed on one side, and the sprocket bearings wear the fastest - maybe because grit gets in behind them?

My local bearing house gets between $7.50 and $9 for those size bearings in 2 seals, so other than the added shipping, that doesn't seem too bad at $28?

The steering bearings are KML. I researched them a few years ago: they are made in the Netherlands area, with hard steels. I don't know about the wheel bearings, though?

I looked at some wheel bearings from All Balls for a RD I was doing they were made in China.
