Picked up an 82 Virago 920 a while back. Under 10k original miles and really clean. Electrical and everything else original and unmolested.
Can't get this dang thing to fire. No kickstart so it's electric only. The problem: relays for everything. Starter tests good, clutch safety switch tests good, sidestand switch tests good. The solenoid for the starter tests good - however when testing, the click that it makes is not instantaneous - it clicks, but it is not what I'd call immediate. The battery is new, fully charged and holds just under 13 volts.
Just how much noise should a relay make and how quickly should it make it ?
There are relays for the sidestand, clutch, neutral, starter and starter shut-off circuit. I'm about to yank them all out, but this thing is so un-touched
I feel I need to leave it alone.
After I get this thing fired, does anyone want a clean 1982 Yamaha XV920 Virago ?
