I'm newish to the motorcycle world, at least to doing the work myself and this site has been invaluable to me. Thanks to all who I've leeched info from.
My current issue is finding 25 over pistons for a top end rebuild I'm doing. The bike is a 1974 cb550 very stock at this point and i'm planning on keeping that way as much as possible( I have a '78 cb550 I have other plans for). I thought i had blown a ring, but< after dissassembly found it was a valve guide seal that was leaking into cylinder 1. My buddy who is helping is insisting that I use OEM pistons and I'm having no luck finding them. I have found after market sets on ebay and from David Silver (UK).
Am I asking for potential problems using after market pistons?
