I really don't know if you took all those pictures yourself, but nobody has to go very far or try very hard to duplicate them.  I notice this a lot...as I never got around to getting a cell phone.

Try reading "Cell" by Stephen King. It's about an unknown terrorist group that sends a signal through the cellular network that instantly turns users into drooling idiots.  Wait a minute...

The word fool and the name Albert Einstein really don't belong together in the same subject line.

Way back when cell phones started, I picked up a cellone  ,in a leather case that can't fit in your pocket, I got it so if I cut my leg off building a log cabin i could call for help. I had that phone for less than a year , everybody called me just at the wrong time everytime, that's when I realized that I would rather bleed to death than be chained to a piece machinery that is a chronic source of interruption. Really, if someone needs to get hold of me  they can do it after I get home. If it was an emergency, there used to be pay phones everywhere.
A couple years  ago  I tried  a new fold up ,in your pocket, super skinny phone.... since there is no payphones anymore........ same experience as the  early cell phone. Left it in a closet for  a year, never missed it.
A few Honda 500's, a few Honda 550's, a few Honda 650's, '72 cb 450, a couple 500/550/650 hybrids, and 2001 750.

You guys do realize you do not have to answer the phone, right.  Another option is to turn the ringer off.

I never pick up when I'm driving and I have all texting blocked.

I agree that Einstein and the word fool don't go together.

I wouldn't have a phone at all if it wasn't for my job. It has to be on 24hours a day 365 days a year. Although I have to admit this I phone is pretty cool. Plus I don't have to pay for it the boss does. So I can't really argue about it.

I agree and the same goes for texts. When I'm in the car, I just ignore the phone. If I suspect it is something urgent, I pull off somewhere and return the call/text. Being one of the older mature  :) members one might think I would be anti-phone or apposed to these new fangled gadgets, but I find my phone invaluable. I give out my cell  number very sparingly so I don't get calls from anyone I don't know. Hell, I'd be lost without my calendar. It syncs with Outlook, Google and my phone. Bless technology.. most of the time.  ;D

I wouldn't have been able to purchase my K8 without my cell phone.
Cheap CB's on CL go really fast.  My cell phone app alerted me to the new CL listing.

I would like to see any of them do that while riding a CB in city traffic or a twisty country hiway! Yes I know there is a vid of some fool in Turkey or India or where ever texting while kicking back on his scooter but you would never be able to do that and survive for long. J

ust sayin' maybe there is more to "ride to be free" than we think! Freedom from over-technology that is.

I'm happy to be of an older generation that wasn't born with a cell phone up my arse!  8)

Ha ha, I love threads like these that are somehow supposed to make people feel guilty for using things that make their lives easier, and ironically, use the same technology that we're all apparently addicted to, to spread this crap.

I want to create a thread to smash all you pussies who ride motorcycles instead of horses, and wipe your butts with nice soft toilet paper after taking a dump in one of those candy-arse flushing toilets, rather than living in a cave and wiping your butt with a sharp stick like real men, like me.

Sent from my incredible mind, telepathically.............. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Unlike some, I have no problem with innovation.  So I curious as to what functionality the sharpened point on the stick serves.  Are you talking about sharpening to a fine point or to more of a chisel shape? I could see where the chisel shape might have some utility and therefore worth a try. Do you reuse the stick, or is it disposable like a lot of people consider toilet paper to be?

I like to sharpen the stick to a point Greg, primarily to navigate around my haemorrhoid's, but the dual purpose being that I can then use it as a spear with which to dispatch my enemies (those who'd dare threaten my life and liberty) and if the blood loss doesn't kill them, the infection from my pointy poo-stick certainly will. You don't think toilet paper is disposable? Um, what do you do with it? ;D

Fair question, toilet paper only has two sides, so reuse is limited.
