Does anyone have a straight, side on shot of your bike with this exhaust? The muffler appears to sit rather "flat".

The muffler does sit reasonably flat, it is slightly uphill to the rear.  I would take a picture if I was a little closer to my bike, at the moment it is 15000km away  :'(.  If it ground clearance you are worried about I haven't come close once, I run out of tyre before I run out of clearance.

Motad - When I go to your web site I don't see a listing for the CB550F. Is there a reason? Are you redesigning the weak link? I would be interested in ordering one if it is available. Thanks

we do- in fact all systems are available as component parts

but the collector is integral with the muffler so would not go onto stock headers even with MAJOR modification

in 20 (or10 )years time your stock headers will be the only ones left in the world  and worth lots!!

put a full system on and keep these for your pension

we will upgrade the muffler to stainless probably in the next production batch- no change in price

dont want to start selling/promoting  on the forum- but its a change that is needed.

no plans for a muffler to fit standard headers- purely because there are so few bikes out there where the original headers have lasted

You'd be surprised! I believe the European F was only a 2 year run while the US had a 4 year run. I bought my bike new in 4/75 and still have the original exhaust. Running a Kerker on it now but will be pulling out the original when the 2nd build progresses. I'll have to decide on original muffler or the Mac. Another option would be nice.  ;) The guys on this site have made a number of older style products reappear due to demand.

Now, with that statement in mind, how many money in hand committments would you need to do the first batch run?!!! Like I said "You'd be surprised"  ;D  Plus, with having David Silvers here now it would be all that much easier for you.
