Removed the original top shock mount.  The hole is 12mm, the stud part for the shock is 15mm and the thread is M10.

The new shock mount to accomodate the wider F swing arm.  I used 3/4" 8 Grade bolt to make it, it still needs a washer beefore I weld it in.

The top shock mount is welded in.  With some washers and spacers I will be able to line up the shock just right.

I emptied my work bench - had to fix chainsaw and replace forge blower motor first - and pulled the F engine head.

The #1 valve guides seem to be tight, but I have to check all of them.  Time to make C Clamp adaptor for spring compressing.

There is some carbon deposit, but nothing serious.

That some cool adaptation work to mount the F MC onto the K frame with a made from scratch linkage.

Made an adapter for a C-clamp to be used as valve spring compressor.  It works well enough.

With valve springs off, I will need to measure and check the play between valve guide and the valve stem.  The leak test was positive - i.e. no leaks.  I used 2 stroke gas mix.  The passages under the exhaust valve and under the intake valve stayed dry, no gasoline made it past the valve. That is a good thing.

But # 2 and # 4 intake valves are in bad shape.  Look at the detail of #2, the hole is 0.8 mm deep.

I baked the head @ 300F, right after pizza,  and drove guides out with a drifter.

The guides are actually visibly oblong.

I was not happy with the master cylinder location and alternating K brake pedal was just too half a$$ for my liking.

I moved the cylinder down and changed the angle too.

The neutral switch wire was loose, I pulled the switch out.  It just slides in and the little bolt and bracket holds it in.
