That's about all I remember, Larry

Yesterday I checked the advancer pin against the crankshaft hole. The hole is 4.3mm and the pin is 4.1mm; I think that's a reasonable play.

Making slow and steady progress on the wiring, it is starting all to make sense now.

Turned and polished last two signal stems. Those rectangular pieces still need some attention when I get more tooling.

The trip to Barber and hunting season really slowed me down - but the exhaust I want is out of stock anyway.

I decided to run wires from controls inside handlebars. F3 had a different dash and the top bracket is not made for it. I decided to drill holes in the bracket, I believe the bracket is strong enough to take it. We shall see.

I used end mill to drill with, it was one of those 80-20 jobs; 80% times takes the setup and the machining itself is quick.

Creative bolt down - guess I should get some T-nuts one of these days

Original was black - I stripped the paint and cleaned and polished that and the K3 dash too.

I get a lot of joy out of seeing long term successful relationships, I came out of a poor situation where my parents had 6 kids in 12 years and had a really messy divorce, some of my siblings suffered badly, didn't do me the world of good either. I've been with my beautiful woman 32 years in October this year and have 2 wonderful kids, we aren't married, I was scared off that years ago but I love my significant other deeply, I count myself lucky...

Headers from CycleX tucked neatly under, there is no way I will be grinding them like the Mac Dorothy is sporting.

The question is, now what? The output is 2.25" OD and to bring it out will need a custom bend piece.

Cyclex connects muffler right down there, a stubby one. I want to do 18" Quietcore from ConeEng for the comfort of the passenger and also for the sidecar she will carry eventually.

But I am open to suggestions as far as muffler and intermediate connector goes.

You can use the calculator on this page to help determine the proper sized "collector" and even purchase the components here. Without a mandrel to bend the pipe, it's cut, tack, cut, tack, cut, tack until you get the length and contour you seek.

With a sidecar, I'd rather the exhaust exit the other side. Moves all the heat, gases and noise away from the passenger. But maybe you're not that fond of your passenger

and this is an intentional design choice?

Yeah, the sidecar will have to brave it ;

I could not find 4-1 that goes to the left being sold anywhere, that would have to be a full custom job, but if I bring it far enough and keep a decent space between the sidecar and the bike - there has to be a space for kickstart anyway - I think it will be bearable.

Scroll down in that page, in the PDFs they have numerous calculators and calculations published for sizing your pipes, collector and final tailpipe.

Since you'll be limited to a right side exit, might at least ceramic coat inside and out that section to help limit the ambient temp of the pipe. If hate to think of Mrs 70CB get a 3rd burn on her ear or upper arm as you merrily stroll along.

Exhaust on the sidecar side is quite common actually.

Yeah, I've seen lots exit on the sidecar side too. Just a consideration...

Meanwhile, hoping your reference was not a mysoginistic slap towards your betrothed? I've said similar and had to travel for extended periods to recover from the sauté pan wounds.
