The new shock mount to accomodate the wider F swing arm.  I used 3/4" 8 Grade bolt to make it, it still needs a washer beefore I weld it in.

70CB750:  I've been directed to your excellent build thread as I am attempting a similar build I have a K6 frame and a lot of F2 donor parts.  I plan to install F2 front and rear and F2 engine.  It has been suggested here and elsewhere that I'll need to do something to correct the fact that the F2 arm is wider than a K6 arm - the shocks will splay outward if I don't.  I've measured both arms and it seems the difference is only about 1/2" between K6 and F2.

I've attached a couple of pics of my mockup without any modification and I don't see that I'll have any problem.  Is the K6 frame different from your K3?  Am I going to be able to skip the step of moving the shock mounts?

Thanks,

JB

Based on the reports that vintagecb750 had a set of bad tensioner wheels, I replaced mine with the metal set.

I do sometimes to read.  I ask question when something comes up, like the hold issue I had.  Turns out the vice needed play adjusted.

Red got a new sprockets and chain.  17/48.  Planed to get an o-ring but X - ring was all the local Honda had; X-ring it is.

The old chain was just a regular one I got to used up what life was left in sprockets that came with F2 parts.  It stretched unevenly and you could feel it on acceleration, time to upgrade.

Good call on new chain/sprockets. You would hate to break a chain. The X ring is far superior to the old O ring style anyway so good move. Once warmed up, the X ring has very similar drag to non-ringed chains, due to the lower contact area with the side plates, relative to traditional O ring chains.
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.

Something like that :)

I never used GPS in my life, got this old unit and started playing with it.  Comes handy with announcing whats coming and overall location situation.  But I could never stand a machine telli9ng me where to turn and whatnot.

I routed bowl air lines together. Eventually will add a nipple to the air box.

It relates to Red lacking power above 80mph, I ain't that clever, but Mark listed it as one of the remedies:

ok, that is what I thought...but your picture shows the bowl overflow tubes, not the bowl vent tubes.  I don't think you want your carbs over-flowing back into the airbox.

The bowl vent tubes exit above the bowls between carbs 1 and 2  and 3 and 4.

Bah...just be sure and let us know if that particular mod has good results.  I remember an old thread where it was discussed and created quite a controversy.
