CB350F Frankenstein?
« on: November 26, 2012, 07:45:24 PM »
Hey guys, I'm hoping some of you can help me. This is what currently sits in my garage..

Look at that front end!! Here's the deal, I'm wanting to put this bike back to its original riding stance. (Doing a Cafe) I'm trying to determine whether or not these are just long tubes or forks from a different model all together.

I bought a set of replacement/genuine 350F forks, this is what's stamped in the base.

And this is what's stamped in the forks that are currently on the bike

As I have nothing to base what's currently on the bike from, I don't know whether or not the triple tree is stock of from another bike. I just want to be able to slide these 350F forks I bought through and not worry about it. Can any of you offer any input?

Speedo/Controls

The previous idiot owner also destroyed the original seat-pan mounts.. I know guys, I have my work cut out for me. But it'll be a blast! You just don't see many 350F's anymore.

Measure the bottom tube on both sets of forks. From your pictures, it appears the PO just used extended top tubes.

BTW, that is one "rough" looking project, just like the type I like to do.   ;D

Thanks Tom. I'll measure the lowers tomorrow. I have a long way to go with this one!
