Been a member/lurker here for quite a while so thought it was time to say hello.
Started riding back in Wales when I turned 16 on a BSA175 The list of bikes is long since then but my first Honda was a year later in the form of a '72 CB250K2 purchased used from E.R. Williams in Mold,North Wales.Since then I have had a CB500 and a new 77 GoldWing.Back then they were syock without all the fairing crap on them,it went well.Bought from Bill Smith Motors in Chester.
Before you all get bored will fast forward to now and living in Canada. Currently I have an '87 Transalp,my daily ride,'78 CB550k and a '77 CB400f.
The 400 was bought a few years ago after a guy low sided it and decided his biking days were done.My gf owned one back home and I always liked it so bought this one.I have totally stripped it,powder coated the frame,swingarm,etc.etc.and had the gas tank and sidepanels repainted in yellow. It is now going back together in my basement using stainless hardware as I go along. This winter I will strip and rebuild the motor and hope to put her back on the road when the snow leaves next spring.
I am not computer savvy so don't know how to send pictures but when one of my kids comes from school for Christmas I will get them to sort it for me.
Thanks for reading this,
Charlie
