Does anyone know of any seats from other motorcycles that would fit on a 76 cb550 with very few modifications?

nope.

if you are wondering about the ducati 750/900ss  seat from the 70's - it def wont fit as it is too narrow toward the rear.

do you have something specific in mind?

I just dont like the stock seat. I dont want to spend a whole bunch of money for a benjies seat and I lack the skills and tools to make one of my own.

this.

Buy a sleeping pad for cheap, buy some marine grade vinyl, and sew it up.

Otherwise any fiberglass seat you see is going to need some real work to make it fit. Especially if the rear of the bike is still 'stock'. This is the best source for fiberglass seats, best selection and price (some sites will just re-sell these)  ..http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/vintage/vintageseats.htm

But this 'work' is all part of the fun, take your time, try to avoid permanently altering the frame, and figure it out.

There is always the option of the Vietnamese covers that are available on eBay. The reviews have been mixed on them, but generally positive and they are very reasonably priced: like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-1978-Honda-CB550K-CB550-cafe-seat-cover-and-foam-/400347309775?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d368f26cf&vxp=mtr#ht_1118wt_1020

I mainly want a different seat just to make it look neat, but I also still want to have the option to ride 2 up. Is there any 2 seater seats that come with a seat cowl that isant going to put a 600 dollar hole in my pocket?
