kill switch
« on: November 28, 2012, 12:20:43 pm »
I have wired up the CR 750 lookalike to day, i'm using a boyer total loss system, kicked it over and have a spark, i now want to fit a kill switch, but the only one i have, is open, like a horn button, i want one that is closed, so when i press it, it isolates the power to the coils, i have checked on ebay and they all seem to be the same. are the ones that have, on,off buttons, the one i need, i  would prefer a one button type if possible, something that is normally closed, untill you press it.

Hi Cobra,

Mead Speed have one but it is a bit modern looking : www.meadspeed.com and search Kill switch. The Honda Dream50R comes with a very nice one part No 35130-NX1-000 which is very Honda RC looking, however CMSNL show it at a staggering €70.50 which is a bit scary. You may pick up a good secondhand Yamaha TZ Item, should be lots of those knocking about.
