Refurbishing metal covers
«

My covers (points, rotor/stator, and shifter) have knicks and some gouges in them. How could I repair these so I could have them buffed or chromed?

If the scratches are not too deep, they can be sanded out of the aluminum, which is normally the second step for polishing (stripping the clear is first).
BTW - the points cover is stamped steel, just buy a replacement.

On the points cover: There's a guy out there making points covers with clear plexiglass centers for a similar price to what I could find on ebay in a true honda cover (I think they look cool). Just a heads up if that's your look since you need one anyway.
