My sump takes how much oil??

I'm used to buying a 4 litre pack of oil for my bikes when I do an oil change, this usually leaves me with enough spare to top up later and add to the lawn mower as required. My VL1400 however has other ideas, I spun off the old filter, drained the sump all night, new filter add oil...add more oil....add yet more oil....run out of oil! :o
Find owners manual, ah oil capacity...4.3 litres? You farken what!!! >:(
So back to Supercheap who of course don't sell tiny weeny little .3 litre packs of oil for guzzling chasms like my S83.
Heck my Ford only takes 5.5 litres, no wonder my mates on their Bandits and SV650's can catch me so easily, I'm dragging around more oil than the Exon Valdis spewed out!!!

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

I am not sure youre in good company here, but my car takes 8 liters, and it is supposed to be Mobil 1, which has gotten very pricey around here. I am waiting for the bat guano lubrication conversion system to become viable, and am stocking up on bat poop so I can corner the market.

Ouch I feel your pain, Mobil 1 is about $80 for 4 litre container here. ;D

Yikes Hush, even adjusting for the 20 cents diff between our currencies, you are paying much more than I. I just checked, and its possible to get a 5 quart jug for under $40. Of course i had already purchased my oil, but it usually sells for $8. per quart here.
