cb750 crankshaft Oil Seal, is ther a washer?
« on: December 15, 2012, 07:50:08 PM »
Hi, I am new to this forum, I am putting back my 1975  CB750 engine back together. I am wondering if there is a thrust washer of some sort between the crankshaft end and the oil seal at the right points plate side. I know the oil seal has a steal washer built in, but is there another thrust washer there also? I did not see anything in the diagrams but there seems to be a groove there. Thanks a bunch! Cheers, Farman

Hi.No thrust washer behind that seal and yes, crankcase is grooved and seal has lip around perimeter that fits in said groove.   Rock On
