cry baby
« on: December 02, 2012, 06:55:21 PM »
I went to a 25th anniversary of a Capitol music store. My kids band was playing and I bought some stuff with a chance on a bass guitar or a cry baby waa waa pedal. WTH, My wife won the waa waa effect pedal. Of course since she plays banjo I inherited the pedal. Been pretending to be Peter Frampton.

The 9v battery went dead already, guess I need the optional power pack.

Good luck with that thing! I have always liked the sound of the Cry Baby pedals and have owned maybe a half dozen of them since buying my first in the early 70s. That said, I have found them to be somewhat fragile, and 3 or 4 have died on me. The ac adapter, if your model has the input for it, is a good idea as 9v batteries are expensive these days. Sometimes I think I can hear a difference between the battery and wall wart, probably just a difference in voltage.
Now all you have to do is load up Shaft, and you can play along with Curtis Mayfield!
