HELP PLEASE....1978 750K CARBS

Can anyone tell me what the second inlet right beside the fuel inlet tube is 
I have 6 sets of carbs and this is the only one with 2 ?

Red is fuel in from tank. Blue is a vent line routed down behind engine case.
'78 750K (F3 engine) PD42b's, Modified airbox w/K&N  filter, 40/110 jets, 1 needle shim, IMS@ 1 turn out. Kerker + Cone 18" QuietCore

are your vents inbetween the carbs connected with hose or not? because mine are not and i guess thats not right. PO screwed lot of things up and i have to fix it now. Thats life 8) 8) 8)

Yes, all inter-carb connectors should have fuel line on them.   The one pictured above is a vent/overflow line, and needs to be routed to drain down and away from the hot engine.

It is a float bowl vent.

If you put your finger over a straw full of fluid, the fluid will not come out until you VENT the straw by taking your finger off of the straw. Same principal.

yes i was shure it should be connected. but my 77 carbs dont have the vent beside the fuel line. guess its the one one the left side on carb 1 that serve this purpose.
