NOS CB750 Cam, what year?
« on: December 03, 2012, 10:00:55 PM »
Held a new camera in my hands today, will post the lobe diameters.
Lobes. Measure...391 and. 407..35.3ish and 35.6ish.
I looked in a clymer manual, two actually, and it appears that it falls between the A model and the others posted..that would mean that the figures were for the early cams.
Looking at the finish on this lumpstick..

Is it a Honda cam or aftermarket. Not that it matters in dating but was it stamped with one of those R casting numbers.?

I went and checked 9 of my CB750 K & F used cams and only two had the raised ring present. (circled in yellow below) One was from a 1970 K0 and the other from a 1975 F and both are confirmed originals. Interesting enough, they are both marked R2.
