This is what a new tank of that color looks like. I am restoring a 500/4 72 and I just got it back from my brother in law. He did a great job and only cost $150 au. Great to have in-laws in the trade.

Thats nice. I think Im going to hold off on painting the tank for now. I think Im going to try and get someone to touch scratches up in the black areas. What a good price for the job too! Shoot!

I was having problems with the floats overflowing before I re-adjusted the float heights. Just pieces of tape with carb numbers. incase they started overflowing after I put them back on the bike.
