Wife's Grand Cherokee is 2004, still consider it somewhat new - LOL, the only one made in this century.

BTW: that Norton at 15,250 British Pound Sterling works out to $24645.53 US Dollars!

It is hand-built in England! It comes with Öhlins forks and shocks, Brembo brakes, Carbon Wheels, and: it's a Norton.  :P

Price in the U.S. is: $20,300.

I don't think the triumphs have the performance of the CB1100.

The U.S. specs CB1100 has a top speed of 110mph. That isn't too hard to top and by far slower than the V-max of a 1969 CB 750. It's the part I don't understand.

Sorry wobbly, they all look clumsy and ugly to me.

Naturally. Surely, you don't think too highly of Porsches, Audis, or BMWs either. None can compete compete with the beauty that you are accustomed to, i.e. Skodas and Jawas.

New Bonneville T-100s are rated 13.5 quarter. CB1100 is just under 12 seconds. Both good performers. Didn't think the new CB1100 was that fast.

I wouldn't take too much notice of what the US speedo's read, the CBX1000 had an 80mph max speedo and went way faster than that, the CB1100 has nearly 90 HP, it'll do 120 MPH easily... Don't believe everything you read, all smoke and mirrors for the fun police....

No, it's the latest, unproven incarnation of Norton.  ;)  Just sayin'!

To be fair, you should be comparing those old Skodas and Jawas to Trabant, Wartburg, Moskvic, Zastava/Yugo, Ziguli and Pannonia.

Anyway, you are right, I don't crap my pants looking at German built car, I leave that to Americans - in USA or European re-imports.

yeah I agree, it doesn't like "right" either. I think it might have something to do with the sidecover and the airbox being apart and the same size.

Ahhhh, great winkys but I'd prefer the tank to be less "humpy" The wheels are great. They would be better without the wee black bits. Hide the horns. Lose the 1100 from the side and substitute CB.
Give me some cash, I'd have it.

Looks good overall. I think it won't sell well. A very niche market.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

now THATS how it should look. Modern, updated, with the vintage bloodline still going through it. It's what triumph managed to do so adeptly (even though the modern triumphs look like bulbous monsters to me)

I agree with Fenders on this one. The tank is way too big and ugly. Could live with the rest of it though.

I've had the same opinion about the tank, until last weekend when I saw one in person. My first thought was, "oh, that tank isn't bad at all".   It you get a chance, check one out in person, I was definitely more intrigued

There's been one of those sitting on the showroom floor of my local Honda dealer for at least 6-8 months now....nobody wants it.

Now if it came with spoke wheels and a 4 into 4 exhaust, I really think it would be in my garage.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.
