It is a perfect fit and now it doesn't feel like you've been riding a wild horse.  ;D

You been riding that bike in the paddock again Mick.... ;D ;)
[/quote]Not yet mate.  ;D
I have to admit that the old original 750 sprayed a few of the 2 stroke boys with dirt and rocks in the scramble pit back home.  ;D
The old bones wouldn't handle that punishment anymore.  ;D
The Evil Knievel days are just fond memories now.  ;D
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

They made some very good points in comparing the specs for a 1983 CB1100F against those of the new CB1100, and did not care for the latter. However, they didn't ride the new one, either. There might be more to this than just numbers.

Agreed. You really cant compare them on a value scale, seeing the 82' is 30 years old. And theres nothing like turning the key on a new bike. But its nice to hear more in depth research about it. I cant wait to see one in the dealership, ill be looking closely at what might be able to be used on our sohc's - gauges, electrical, controls, etc.

While poking around online, I found the following review. http://www.ashonbikes.com/content/honda-cb1100-2013-review

The review comes out of England and is of a UK-market CB1100. Other than the obvious color (colour?) differences, it seems that our tea-swilling brothers get four 36mm throttle bodies instead of the 32mm units affixed to an EPA certified bike. The mufflers have different internals, too. All I can say is “bloody hell.”

I’ll be interested to see if any of the magazines compare the performance of the two versions.

I stopped at the Honda dealer in Manassas.  The word is that they have several deposits on the CB1100 already and they should have one on display by the end of February.

I just can't wait  to see her in real.

I think that is an honest appraisal Bob.
There will always be varying opinions and it comes back to an individual choice which is a good thing.

I never intended to imply that Kevin Ash's review was in any way lacking. I did, however, take exception to some of the opinions expressed on the earlier-referenced podcast, but those boys are entitled to say what they will. And yes, I would hate to have fewer choices available.

One or more were supposed to be in Orlando end of January when I was on Vacation. I went to Savannah GA today near where I live and one is coming end of Feb. No ABS and only one was ordered. It Isnt sold, just ordered by the dealer. He likes it but I could tell he thinks it will be a hard sell. If they had a few options in size and colors to put a row on display that might help. Too bad they didn't bring out a few smaller ones with it! Most guys my age (41) want a vintage bike but cant afford a nice one or are mechanically challenged. To toss up a $10k option to test the market hurts the guys who might give Honda theyre $ Its easier for someone to Finance a $5k toy than $10k. I hope to see it in person. I do want one.

Got a text from my dad that they were finishing putting one together at the local dealership (est. 1962 ;)). I got in the door just as they were cleaning the pipes. After a while they started it up and let me blip the throttle. It's much quieter than I thought based on the videos I've seen, especially in terms of "whine". The fit and finish is superb and that paint is absolutley perfect. I got to sit on it and it's very similar to my 750, maybe just a touch lower. Too bad it will be quite some time till I can afford one.

Would be nice to have a wall full of old honda tools like this...

My dad trying it on for size

I was crunching numbers in my head and if I sold both my bikes AND my car I still don't think I'd have enough to buy one ;D Guess I'll just have to make due with the lowly K6 for now.......

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Went into my local Honda shop today in Kalamazoo,Mi.They said the new CB1100 would hit in March on an earlier visit. Found out there are several Guys on the list and our major shop is only getting one bike this year. Was told that a lot of places are getting none. Looks like Honda is being very conservative on this first year launch,at least here in the Midwest.Anybody else seeing any multiple chances in the showrooms ?
