Now you're talking! Cliff.

Honda CB1100 with Pipemasters 4 into 4 polished stainless steel exhaust

I love the sound!  Do you think they would take run down K0 and bits and pieces of K3 and F3 as a trade in for this one? :)

My local Honda dealer just got one in. It looks terrific. Good attention to detail. Honda pretty much nailed it.

But then I sat on it. My creaky old knees were not happy with the foot-peg placement. The pegs are higher and more rear-set than I would prefer. Too bad.

Seems like everytime I stop at Honda dealer, there is an old geezer asking about CB1100.

Shouldn't your statement be followed with a "smiley face"?

The K style seat that I bought from Webikes Japan is an improvement and I do think thalt they suit the bike.
They have used an original CB1100 base & refoamed & covered it to resemble the Honoda 4 seat.
I think that if you are around the 6 foot plus mark, the original seat doesn't provide an ideal riding position.
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

Hello to all, nice website. I just bought a 2013 CB1100 and it is great so far. I am 6'1" and over 200 and I also don't care much for the OEM seat. I saw the webike website and found the K0 seat and I like the looks of it, but in the pic it shows a bike with an oil tank lid on it. Does the seat actually fit a 2013?. Have you fellows bought from this website a lot? I just found it and never had any dealings with a company like this before.
Mick what year is your 1100 and is it the same bike as the CB1100 sold in the US? That you know of?
Yes I am 60 years old and I had a 1970 K0 back in 75, and my buddy had a 1975 CB750. The 70 was a lot more powerful. The new bike is great, but the seat is not perfect. I can deal with the footpegs and brake pedal and shifter for now, but a longer shift and brake lever would be nice for my big feet.

LOL!

Being a geezer is an achievement, not everybody reaches that age.

Here is an idea, could we have a special forum section for CB1100?  I would definitely love to look at members rides and mods and learn technical issues of the new bike.

Thoughts?

Hi Johnny
Mine is a 2010.
I bought it when they first hit the shores here in Aust.
I would imagine that the seat base would have remained the same over the last few years.
The bikes basically look much the same although there are a few cosmetic changes that are noticeable.

With the benefit of hindsight, I would have had the original seat repadded and covered rather than the expense of buying another seat from Japan.
The Yoshimura Titanium 4/1 is very good and also very expensive but I bit the bullet and made a few changes to the bike that I don't regret.
That exhaust system is a huge saving on weight compared to the Stainless system fitted at the factory.

Great news that you have one of these bikes now.  8)
Congratulations.  ;D
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

When I first saw it, I did not like the tank. I was talking to the salesman when a mechanic from in back walked over and started it, right in the showroom. Wow. I said hey wait a minute, and then they told me he was taking it outside so I could ride it. Pure fun. Just hold on and twist the throttle, so smooth. I went back to 76 when I bought a new Goldwing, only this was a regular Four. This thing is loaded with instant power you can feel without giving it any gas, then when you do move your hand it goes, no lag, no delayed response, just like it is connected to your brain. Think it and it does it. Ok, I just got off a 2009 Royal Star Venture so when I sat on the CB1100  being 300 lbs less it sure felt sprightly. I went around the highways for about 10 minutes, and when I pulled up back at the Honda dealer I could not stop smiling.
They knew they had me.
I rode there on  the  Venture, and had my knees like 2 feet apart, so the gas tank sort of grew on me and I am used to it now. Its nice to tuck in your knees. And, I like the color in the sunlight.

I can't wait for Honda to sell accessories for it.

Congratulations to all the new cb1100 owners! Please take good care of them so I can buy a nice used one in a few years. Hopefully Honda will see the potential and make a 500cc version that's an economical choice over a scooter!!

AMEN to that.
I would go for a Honda 500 Four with 4 pipes and standard styling. The 500s coming out are sport bikes. I like the 500 Vulcan, though a cruiser, it is more like standard than a crotch rocket.
Just saying

The local Honda dealer has one front and center in their showroom.  First thing you see when you walk through the door!  It is the red version, but I'd really like to see a black one.  I sat on it and the seat height was much lower than a SOHC 750.  I agree that the tank is narrow and I guess this is to display more of the engine.  That is ok, but I would be a little worried about range.  What I really like is the FUEL INJECTION!  I've never owned a FI bike, but I think it would be nice.

Honda finally announced the pricing on their new CB500s

http://powersports.honda.com/2013/cb500f.aspx

CB500F MSRP of $5499   ABS version $5999
CB500X MSRP of $5999   ABS version $6499

I think I like the 500X more than the 700X as it seems they have integrated the accessories in a more cohesive manner than the 700 where they don't blend in as well.
