But that article came out several months ago (I searched for it but couldn't find it) and by now there are a couple of aftermarket solutions that will work, but might also void your warranty at the same time.

Every test and ride report i've read claims top speed at 124-125 MPH, the ones sold here that have been tested have a top speed of around 125 MPH and a quarter mile time of  around 11.79 sec. @ 110.87 mph, British magazine MCN tested it at 125 MPH as well {professional racers do their testing}, i could hardly see it stopping dead at 112 with a sub 12 second quarter mile, makes no sense.., and if it did i would take it back and get it fixed or get a new one.... Why not ask member mick7504, he's had his for over a year now... ;)

Yep, whilst i like what Honda was trying to do I would prefer the big Suzuki as well....Great bikes

I suspect that part of the problem are the changes in our emissions and noise regulations over the past 30 years. Honda's CB1100 from 30 years ago produced much more power than the new bike, but of course, it did not have to conform to 2014 regulations.

I wish that our EPA was required to do a cost/benefit analysis before imposing new rules. IMO, the relatively few (compared to cars, trucks, and even lawnmowers) motorcycles ridden in the U.S. cannot make a meaningful contribution to air quality numbers.

I went to my local Honda dealer last week.  They did not have the new CB....

I wanted a 1100 as soon as I saw the photos, I waited, 2008, 2009, 2010, into 2011 when I started reading Australian reviews here... I bought this for $300, spent 4 months and $2000 to repair & restore.  Its a great ride, my favorite ride in fact.  :D


With the money left over I bought my wife a nice ring , I am going to make a  Cafe from my '67 CB450K0 and take a vacation in Playa del Carmen.   Life is good.
