I bought my seat cover off the same seller. Just be sure you email the seller and tell them your US version of bike.

Check my build thread for reference pics.

In the US, there are three seat pan styles (maybe 4 if the CB500 K0) is considered).

Cb500 72/73, Cb550 K0 through K2 used the same seat pan with small, minor variations in the seat cover pattern.

The Cb550 K3 has an elongated seat pan and accommodates the larger tank also used on these models.  Seat cover is very different than other K models, as is the grab bar.

The Cb550F model has a seat pan to accommodate a larger tank, and the rear has a turn up and holds the tool kit under it.  The seat cover is different than all the above, as is the grab bar.

There is now and has never been a CB500F model.  And, certainly not an F model with a K designation.  The side badge read 500 Four, which seems to confuse many.

Little wonder you are confused by the ebay advert.  They are, too.

Their pictures don't give the same profile angles among the samples needed to choose the correct cover for your seat.

But my guess is that they don't really have a cover for the K3 seat pan and are simply trying to show differentiation in the impressed  stamping of the cover.

Alright thanks for that clarification. As far as I knew I could use a 72-73 500 seat (because as you mention, the first year one was different) or a 550K seat up to '76.  Their nomenclature definitely is wacky and that threw me as well (500F? :P).  I messaged the seller asking which one I should use for a 1975 550k1 usa model (included a picture), we'll see when he gets back to me.  Hopefully this can help someone else out in the future too.

The seller says the "500F k2" link (third one down in my original post) is the one that will fit the 550k bikes.

I recommend this seller:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CB550K-1974-76-seat-cover-Honda-CB550-CB-550-K0-K1-K2-FOUR-200-/160889716791
Bought my 550F seat cover there and am very pleased. The pattern is actually sewn in, the vinyl very durable and it is fitting very well.
Yes, their covers are pricey, but IMHO they are worth it.

@Fritz: that's $35 more expensive and it doesn't have waterproof seams.  My bike gets parked outside and I don't want soggy foam.
