Congrats on your new Ruger revolver!

I recently purchased a used Smith & Wesson Highway Patrolman, model 28 in .38/.357 caliber.

or try gunbroker.com   Mind that listed prices may be different from what people pay when they actually buy one.

I just got me a Bisley Hunter 44 for Christmas otherwise I would make you an offer.

$300   is  a  very  nice  price on that gun.   If you don't want it ,  i'm  sure you could  sell it at a profit.

$300 is a very good price for that. i paid $500 for mine about 8 years ago. It's very fun but wears me out after about 30 rounds. It's fun for bowling pin shoots.

Personally I'm more of a rifle guy (shoot long range tourneys).

I'm a rifle person myself my father in law gave me a pre 62 Winchester 30-30 lever action that is my favorite rifle right now. My in law had went through a stage in his life and was giving his guns to us kids. My wife and son got his benellis she got his over and under 12 gauge and his semi auto 12 gauge and my son got his 28 gauge double barrel. The brother in laws got the rifles I had his matching colt .45s but the one brother through a piss fit and he got them. The .44 i got I'm probably going to resell it I'm not into handguns where I live rifles are more practical. Plus I can shoot a gnat off a sleeping dogs balls at 120 paces with a rifle.thanks for the info on where to look

That price is awesome! And you have quality at least equal to or better than the S&W's from the 60's-70's when they still gave a crap.

Rugers are build like a bulldozer, just flip through some reloading manual.

I would take it to the range before you sell it, just for kicks, you may like it.

The only realworld use I could see for a hand cannon like that is big ass bear hunting or posing in the mirror asking yourself, "Do ya feel lucky punk? Well, do ya?"

If there is a word I would never expect to go in the same sentence that "gun", that would be "Christmas".... :-)

So my son and I shot the hand cannon tonight I placed a old homemade boot holder made of treated 2x4's they where standing straight up about 4 inches apart there was 6 of them we stood about 25 feet from them the bullet went through 4 of them with ease. This gun shoots straight and true. Now I don't want to get rid of it. But ammo is 50.00 a box so it's not so hard to let it go.

You can pick up reloading and bullet casting - in all your spare time :)  - make your own ammo and shoot cheaper.
