Rejetting?

Quick question.... Do you have to take out carbs to rejet? I'm a noob with a cb550 :)

No.  But, it takes some knowledge and skill to makes it so.  As well as, proper tools and mechanical prowess.

+1 on what Twotired said.  And basically, you need to remove carb bowls, remove old jets, put in new jets, put back carb bowls. Then you're done. Of course plenty of problems in between.

Not quite done.  There is also the throttle valve needle to readjust as part of the re-jet process.  Of course, the real trick is about what to re-jet ...to, and for what correction.
