closest engine numbers apart

i cant find it now but i think theres a thread on who has the closest engine numbers if you have a few bikes or motors,,i have just looked and i have two 550 motors exactly ten numbers apart,one ive had for about three years and the other ive just picked up,so they went down the line together,got sold miles apart and ended up meeting again at my place.

Well Dave I doubt you'll find any closer than that!

My 750K3 I bought new and another K3 I dragged home five years ago are 241 units adrift, frame serial #'s only 158 off.

Sort of on topic, but not really. I know a guy that has a collection of hemi cars. He had the mopar certification guy come check them out. The  bad news was two of his cars had non-correct numbered engines. Good news if he switched them they would be the auctual original engines for both cars. He bought them seperately two states apart. Crazy.

I had a pair of 40hp Johnson outboards that were 2 numbers apart.

1976 CB550K, 1973 CB350G, 1964 C100

YeAH,   I have two CL's that were built a month apart, titled  in different states, titled  in different years, but manufactured a month apart in 1971.   They are about a thousand numbers apart as far as frames but I haven't checked what the motors say.

I guess I need to check while I'm de-choppering the one titles '72.
