Topic: Switchy switches

Howdy again,

My newest dilemma is a screwed up right hand side switch block. Just when I thought puds had given me something decent to work with!

It's totally stuffed up internally, missing detent ball things and some springs., the kill switch looks like it was fixed at some stage with a punch? Who ever did it had one shot at it, and from the look of it, didn't do a fantastic job.

The US ones don't have the light switch on it, to go from parkers, to lights and off etc. and a 'NOS' replica one, which looks quite nice, it's like $160, and $30 something to post it.

Does anyone in Aus have a good second hand one they could sell?
It's tempting to just buy the new one, but i need to stop throwing moolah around like it doesn't mean anything haha

Moolah means something..?  apart from trouble....   Get hold of Pud and get a refund, if he refuses tell him he's starting to get a pretty crappy reputation online on the biggest Honda 4 forum on the planet..      Try member Dave500 he may know someone or have something himself...

I bought the bike close to two years ago now, I think it's warranty has finished lol.

He well and truly has a reputation going, when i first got the bike and pulled it to bits, i took the head into this local place to get ported and they were all like 'ah cool as, the 550's are a sweet bike, where'd you get it from, not puds I hope' I said yep puds, ' oh F@$K did he take your soul too, how much did he slug you?'
Always good to hear haha.

That B%@#%@D can keep his switches, and what ever else he's got,  The only thing I will give him is word of mouth advertising.

I'd love to have the 550 finished while we've got good weather, just the wiring to do, and I've almost finished making the rearsets!

ill look through my switch block pile,i have 500 ones,they have light off ,low,high,the starter button and the kill switch,,are yours like that?

this is it i thought i had more,i have odd half casings and loom bits,you can have this one if you want it milo,the kill and headlight action feels ok,the start button dosent have  spring feel to it,,you might make one from two?
