Gotta check later today,  going to shim the springs first, if the rest looks ok, making lots of power, lol! ;D , Bill
Frank's 1.38 60ft might be a PB for him on the 750!

Thought y'all might like this one. In 1975 Terry Vance  held the Pro Stock record, mph was 125.xx. We're getting closer!  Ran Frank in qualifying, gotta go find the time slip, bet it was the first time in a while there was a time slip with two 10 second Honda's on it! We both cut identical. 045 R/T!

So now we see where a good flowing head with oversized valves compares to a basic, ported F model head with stock valves. The good head flows way better on top end and makes more MPH. Bill ran almost 125 versus my best of 121mph. Once he figures out how to lower his 60', that bike will run a low ten easily.

And yes, my engine is worn out. Will have to tear it down right after the last race of the season to make some much needed changes. Keeping my fingers crossed that it'll last til then.

Well.... after beating Bill in round two yesterday by a measly .0021, I missed my dial-in in round three by .2 and lost by .2.

Random pairings today pitted myself against Frank (dragracer) in both rounds one and two. I thought Frank's wife was going to fall over (or come over and smack me) when she saw Frank and I paired again in round two. Frank stumbled off the line in round one giving me the round one win, which is kind of an empty win with the auto buy-back to round two, but I'm counting it. Round two was Frank's to win since I broke out by .059... but Frank left .009 too soon! Red light! Hot damn! I'm going to round three again today!

AND both Frank and Bill have yet to beat me...   :o  ;)  ;D

Got number one qualifier. Had the first round bye run and ran an 8.89@155mph. Came back in 2nd round and got paired with my buddy Barry from Virginia Beach.  After both of us staged it seemed like they held the light to long so on first flash  I threw the clutch and they system threw a red light on me. Arrrgh!! Ran an 8.91@ 156mph.  Couldn't capitalize on the qualifying position to carry me forward. All in all, it wasn't my best weekend starting with the RV debacle on Friday. We're on our way home, nothing broken and no one hurt.Overall,  A successful  weekend of racing.

Didn't I tell everyone that Wilbur would be the man to beat. Well, he's proven it twice with me and once with Bill. He's gained more confidence in his abilities to race because of the minor but very important changes he's made to the bike. His ET's are more consistent now that his launches are easier. Adding more modifications like an extended arm and an airshifter will help also. I'd suggest finding another seat and getting it cut down as much as possible to lower your body on the bike and reduce the center of gravity. Again, its the little things you do that can make some of the biggest difference.

Great this weekend Wilbur. You advanced in the rounds when the rest of us were sent back to the trailer. Get some more seat time like we discussed to work on your reaction time. That's what's going to be instrumental in winning rounds.

Well,  here's Mr Mummey getting ready to draw for 3rd round!
Talked with Bill Hahn Jr.about our issues with no points for winning Rd 2 for about 20 minutes or so this morning. Also got with Manny ,Flying Taco who eats lunch with Jay once a week.  Next year hopefully will be different. Man, what a fun weekend. Bill Check out Wilbur's new team shirt,  that's Dusty Brazel on his right who he ran in the 3rd round.
