Heck, even if the tonic doesn't cure his ailments, it'll darn sure make him forget about the discomfort. In fact, it'll make him forget about a whole lot of stuff. Lol

Well, I almost called yesterday. .....then it occurred to me that they didn't finish the last Pro class and all the sportsman classes didn't finish also. Bet Jays waiting for Valdosta,  but you'd think they'd tell us. I'm not sure, might be worth a call,  Bill

Well, now you just turned on the light bulb in my head. Lol. We had already left when the race was called due to rain. I forgot about the decision to finish up in Valdosta. Hence, no points posted for the classes still under competition. Oh well. I'm sure I feel out of the top ten anyway.

Quick question for those in the know...

What is the current fastest ET and trap speed on a std wheelbase N/A CB750? Give me your best guess (manual or auto?)

Oh and single engine lol

Thanks,
Paulo

Bill Benton might be the best person to answer that question. He's kept up on old records from the CB 750 racing heyday. We all run longer wheelbase bikes now so its more of an apples to oranges comparison.

I have been 10.34 on my bike recently but it wasn't during a super eliminator race where milestones are recorded.  Bill has been 125mph but I don't know if that's top speed even for a short bike.

That would be hard to determine, why would you run stock wheelbase. ?
I think a single engine sohc 4 ran a7.9 or low 8 in the 80,s. Might have been Teson or Bernard.. Pic of it in the big dragracing book.

Rockingham hurt me in the points standing. I was hoping to at least maintain my position going in but slipped 2 places. No doubt if I want to finish in the top 5, I really have to make a lot of rounds. The last race is always well attended so the potential to add up a lot of points is good. Potential doesn't equate to reality unfortunately. I'll do my best but more importantly, I intend to have fun. My nieces will be there with their families to support Gladys and I so it'll be well worth the trip for me.

You and Bill can carry to the SOHC torch.

Yeah i know, nobody gonna run a stock swingarm in the tens or lower, and theres no way to tell what length arm goes with what record for the most part.

The fastest N/A SOHC 750 that I am aware of, although with an extended swingarm, is Gary Pena. He ran high 8's.
I think Bill has the exact info on Gary's records. Hopefully he will chime in here with an update.

Teson and Bernard 7.65 @ 187!  Magnuson blower etc. Would guess nitro or alcohol.
Rick Stetson, sit up, modified stock frame, 9.20
Gary Pena, his frame,  also a sit up, 9.03, 9.01, 8.87 or 88, I gotta check,
Gary Pena,  same engine,, Byron Hines built it 1062, with 1/4 inch stroker,  8.40's ,8.50's , also need to check.
Terry Vance 1975 Pro Stock winning bike, best was 9.74 @ 138 or 135, I'll check
Currently
John Loney,  recognized S EL record 10.6xx @?
John Loney , ran 10.345 @ ? @ Rockingham in September
Bill Benton, 10.58 @ 124.73, 10.54 @124.36
My stock wheelbase 836 only got to 12.05, lowered and added RC clubfoot and ran 11.94 and 11.55
Valdosta should be fun
Larry Hayes has run 8.40's and maybe even better with his turbo lay down bike
Mark on west coast, he's on here, ran 9.20's on his turbo sit up
More later, Bill
