in 1978 waas there only one f model or more like 1-4
and how do you know what it is my frame just says 750f

The SuperSports came out in 1975 as the F,  F1 in 76,  F2 in 77,  and the F3 in 1978.  I think this is true.  An engine number beginning with 310xxxx would make it a 78F3, the plate riveted to the right side of the steering tube would show a 220xxxx serial number for a 1978F3.

The european market F3 had a 'G' in the engine number.
In the UK anything over 40 years old only needs insurance and Fuel.
