speedo washers
« on: December 19, 2012, 03:01:35 PM »
Hello all..I am rebuilding a cb 750 K4.. Thought i would share this small tidbit of info of my build ..I am rebuilding the speedo of my bike (speedo rebuild in SOHC thread) and found some cush washers that work GREAT! these were in the plumbing section of Ace hardware. Now these are just a touch thicker in the flange area and fits snug in the back of the speedo cup perfectly.. and are just alittle firmer(but still squishy) than the old deteriorated ones.pics follow ......More pics as build of bike progresses. Enjoy!!

Damn! We don't have Ace hardware here in Oz, and those washers are probably for some American device that we don't have here, I don't suppose you'd consider sending me a few of those washers mate? I'd pay for them, plus shipping, of course? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Went this morning and struck out horribly, sorry Terry.  I had the guy look it up and their most recent shipment was from 2005  :o not surprisingly they had none left.  I did find something similar made of teflon, but they only had 1 and it was made by a company that is now out of business...0 for 2
