Aw, come on!  That bike has the extremely rare upside down emblems tank!  I don't think this guy knows what he has!

The story goes, back in the early 80's, Honda had a disgruntled employee on the emblem stamping line.  Seems he decided one day to screw them over and set the stamper to make the Honda emblems upside down.  Well, his astute supervisor caught the act of subversion quickly and fired the guy on the spot, but not before a very small number of these rogue emblems were installed on tanks and sent to the showroom floor.  Nowadays, these elusive "Inverted Emblem Tanks" are going for tens of thousands of dollars on the black market (aka: ebay).

Maybe someone should email him and point out this doozy of an oversight!

The problem is are these genuine upside down emblems or just regular emblems that the owner turned upside down to look like upside down emblems?  Very few people have the ability to identify the real thing, and an amateur could end up getting ripped off.

It's DOHC. If it runs (and I doubt it runs well with those pods, most are thrown on and not tuned) it could be worth a little. Probably not worth as much as it goes for, however.

I'd probably give the $150 starting bid for it.

I think you just turned the entire "Inverted Emblems Tank" market on it's head (so to speak)!

Expect a knock at your door soon... ;D

!st, let me say that I have an 80' CB750K DOHC and I like it very much. Now, Something was said in the listing about a Rat Bike. Well, I don't think a self respecting rat would have that sucker! I might use it for spare parts, if he'd deliver it with a total price tag of Nothing. Later on, Bill

Wow, I obviously don't know what I'm talking about. I'm glad I already have my bike and won't be looking for another any time soon.

the only way there is over $800 invested in that bike, is if there is $750 stuffed under the seat.

Wow, I obviously don't know what I'm talking about. I'm glad I already have my bike and won't be looking for another any time soon.

Pinhead, In all seriousness, If you could use it (with another parts bike or some such) to
build a titled bike or if you could use the comstars , a few other parts and sell the titled frame w/
forks (or without forks), it would be worth the $150 you were talking about. I could use the
comstars and some other parts but there's too many variables (buying price and shipping costs to
Arkansas) Don't be so hard on yourself. Some wouldn't have it if it was priced at $150, simply
      because it's a DOHC. I don't have a 750 SOHC but, wouldn't mind having one. I like the older
ones AND the newer ones up to a point. Anyway, yes it would be worth $150 to me if it was
close enough that I could go and get it.

Then you could sell those upside down emblems and make a profit on it.  Just kidding.

It might make a good boat anchor, or perhaps a door stop.  Could put it in the yard to tie the dog to?

Well it doesn't look much worse than some of the "works in progress" I've seen on this site, ha ha! Still, with 2 days to go it's had 8 bids and is now up to $390.00, so I guess there's no accounting for taste............;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
