I've seen bikes that look alot worse than that bike, and they sell for more money than the one in the photo in the UK

Looks like a good deal to me. Bike looks well cared for. How much is gas there? How many $'s is 800euro?
The thing about common sense is that, it's not that common.

I`m not real expert for this honda, so can you (expert people  ;D), tell me what things don`t look right on the bike, so i can maybe use them to low down the price a little more... Is it supposed to be HONDA on the left side of the engine?

Here is a comparison to what an american model CB500 looked like when new.

Finned alternator cover insert, non-stock.  Some consider this an apearance upgrade.
Front forks should have accordion boots for stock.  Dirt rings on fork tubes may indicate a fork seal leak.
Brake and clutch levers -non-stock
Brake master -non-stock.  learn the original bike source. for when rebuild is required.
Seat recovered, (recontoured?)
Rear shocks - look original.  They are worn out at 15,000 miles useage.
Rear grab bar around seat missing. Rear turn signal moved rearward; probably to accomodate saddle bags or the top box mount.
The top box will make bike handling quite odd, especially when it is loaded with weight.
Engine guards upgrade.
Exhaust replaced
Finned valve inspection caps- non-stock (apearance upgrade?)
Speedometer and tach upper covers were black when stock
Headlight bowl was black when stock
advisory light panel was black when stock
Tank repainted
Side covers repainted.

Seems pretty clear that someone liked the bike well enough to do appearance improvements.  This often means the bike is well maintained.

If it runs, shifts, and drives well, it should be a good bike.

Can't help with the price or the value to you.  Supply and demand issues.  If it were the only bike in Europe for sale and everyone wanted one, you could name your sales price.  However, if no one wants it, the asking price may be irrelevant.

What is it worth to you?  What other candidates are you considering?

I am with two tired here. Quit beating yourself up on this one. Bike looks good if it started and went around the block its good to go, you can work the kinks out a little at a time.

The price is irrelevant if you like it, buy it. Like everything, it is worth what you paid for it.

Its your time, your hobby, the knowledge you acquire taking it apart and putting it back together. That is worth the real $$$. Buy it and have fun. If it does not work out, put a Little TLC in to it and sell it. Here is the plain truth below... If you check out Ebay that bike is priced pretty fair.

Motorcycle Valuations

Prices of older motorcycles can vary enormously depending on a variety of factors including location, condition and provenance.

In order to assess the value of your bike we suggest browsing sites which specialise in the marque in question, for instance owner's clubs and dealers. Searching auction sites and classifieds is also an excellent source of information about vintage motorcycle prices.

The following sections of the Bikelinks directory will get you started.

    Motorcycle Auctions
    Classifieds
    Clubs
    Classic Motorcycle Dealers

Ebay Countries has links to many of the country specific Ebay sites.
Nada Guides has a section on Vintage Motorcycles
Redbook Australia covers many European, collector's and classic motorcycles

Got my '73 CB500/4 for $550 (US$).  Thought that was a steal...they guy was only asking $800 and he came down.  Of course I paid $150 for a new head when I rebuilt the top-end.  Still think its a good deal.

Well guys, i`m back :)
A lot of things happened in my life in the past period, but buying a CB500 from this topic is not on the list  :D
My parents had health problems, so all my money was invested into medicines, rather than in motorcycle.

I still continiued to look on advertisements for CB500/550s, but none showed since then.
Right now, my country lets import of any motorcycle, from any year. There are absolutely no regulations about age, ecologic normes, etc. But in this period i`m broke  :-[

I still wish i can find cheap Honda that need a lotttt of restouration, that i could do ....

If anyone lives near country, and knows such...  ;)

Sorry about your parents Marko...maybe it's a good thing that you didn't buy it so soon....I'm going through the same thing with my parents, Good luck.
As to bikes, I'm not familiar with your market, and that particular bike looked great, but am I wrong in thinking that 32,000 is a lot of miles to start out with?
Granted, I'm in the US, where a lot of Hondas were imported...I paid 500.00 for a '76 750K...but it had less than 20,000 miles..

Wow Chris, i`m really surprised. For 500.00, you cannot buy anything here, not to speak about bike that has less than 20.000 on the clock...

I`m really desperate. Is it possible that no one in Italia, Hungary, Germany has such bikes for sell?  :(

Right now, for me, perfect would be bad shape bike.
I have tools to paint it myself, brother who is mechanic, who could do engine and transmission...

It would be better for me to buy cheap bad bike, than normal price average bike...

But there are none...  :(
