I must say, at the "prime-of-youth" age of 20, I've still had my share! The right knee commonly craps out on me. I HAVE given her quite a beating over the last few years though. Rolled my '87 F-150 when I was 17 and caught the knee under the dash taking a chip off the cap. Then I was helping a guy move a 9000lbs. car lift in three pieces and an arm came loose, catching my right leg--jarring the knee nicely of course! Then, during the panic of a house fire, I tripped off some steps landing beautifully on--take a guess. Then one evening last fall, I was out on Cassie, got caught in some fog, and ended up wiping out in a ditch, where Cassie proceeded to drag me (by the right leg
) about 20ft! I now can relate to all the older guys when they predict the weather by their joints.
Then there is the common aches and pains of working 14-hr. days doing everything from farming, building a house, and plumbing to mechanic work. Life is great.
Makes me wonder though... what will it be like when I, too, am 60?
