At the ripe old age of 27, I'm off work with 2 buldged discs in my lower back, they are pressing on a nerve and giving me shocking pain and numbness in my left leg.  I've been going to physio the last few weeks, and I can walk again but it is going to be a while before I'm back into full swing.  I guess I should refrain from lifting clutches and wheel hubs that weigh in the region of 80kg when I only weigh 75kg :-\.

Children, who'd have em. ::) I'm going to have to stop drinking with you Andy, people might get the wrong idea. ;D ;D ;D ;D
I've got an appointment with the osteopath in the morning. Although I'm back in work, I still can't do much, some Christmas that was. >:(

Yeah, Getting Older CAN Be A Pain! I Ain't The Oldest Here, But Pretty Darn Close. Some Days Go Pretty Well And Then SOME Days, Are A REAL Pain. But, You Know, I Just Look At My Dad Who Is 87 And Remember That He Past MY Age (65) Years Ago And Is Still Moving Along (With My Daughter And My Help, But Still Moving).  ;)

G'Day Bill, good to see that your Dad is still going well, my Dad turns 86 on Sunday, and still acts like a 20 year old! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hey Terry......................Happy Birthday to your dad.

Bill, 87,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,wow, give him a hug, and hold it and savor it.

Wish I could do that with my dad.
If it ain't raining, I'm riding.....~~{iii}?~~prost

My Mother and Father are 93. I will never make it.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

You may be right. I have had plenty of opportunities since I was 21 to find that expiration date. I may start taking care of myself. All I can figure is Jesus loves me, or the Devil isn't ready yet.

You know the thought of being immortal in your 20's to 50's is an interesting idea but in your 70's it has much less of an appeal and I suppose that is because you thought you were immortal in your twenties.

I'll be 56 on March 4th and for the most part I'm blessed to be in good health. No medication, pills, of any kind for blood pressure, cholesterol, etc. that's all normal. But I do have a couple of disc in my neck that causes pressure on a nerve that I go to a chiropractor on a regular basis for that keeps me pain free for the most so I can ride my 750's. I have a weak lower back that goes out at times and it messed up on me yesterday :( all I was doing was bending down to pick up some clothes to put in the washer and bam I felt the pain in my back. Now Im walking around funny and putting ice and heat on it through out the day.So what types of aches and pains does everyone else have here?

Same boat as you Dhall... I fractured c4-c5 completely through when I was 23.. Then walked around with the broken neck as Army doctors said it was a dislocated shoulder.. They were more worried about a broken collarbone which I didn't have.. Fast forward 4 months later broke my L1-L4 and numerous bones plus multiple internal organ damage....

My back constantly goes out (bed ridden for a few days minimum)....... I am 31 now ... The neck injury has caused Radiculopathy of all 4 limbs.. Docs diangosed me with Stenosis (SP?) at age 25 after a year of physical therapy.... I was told it means my back is the same as an 80 year old.

I always reflect and think it could be worse.. But yeah, the back is a PITA.. The kids growing up and playing sports always helps deal with the daily aches and pains..

43 and in decent health here except a few extra pounds.  I have my wife to thank.  She makes sure I eat rite and walk daily.  She has a vested interest in my ticker.  She tells me she wants me to continue to f**k her well into retirement.

I stay away from Army and VA Doctors. They would send guys back up with concussions. Oh if you were flat on your back with something.......Dexedrine was the fix.

I agree about the Army docs but the VA docs are great. At least mine are. Even when I was doing my clinical placement at the local VA hospital in Milwaukee I saw patients get great care... Army docs now.. Jeeze what a joke.. At least from my point of view and experience..
