K7 Choke cable vs choke lever
« on: March 22, 2013, 01:25:11 PM »
Has anyone ever changed the choke cable on a K7 to a lever system like the earlier models?

Any inputs would be appreciated.

What's wrong with the cable on your K7?

Looking at installing a set of clip-ons and planning on cleaning up the top triple tree and will either need to relocate the choke cable or replace it with a lever like the earlier K models.

I swapped the triple trees on mine to a '74 so I lost the choke mount so I was in the same boat. I don't have an airbox, I run stacks, so I shortened the choke cable and ran it to one of the old airbox mounts.  Works pretty good.  I don't have a picture of it all complete, this was a test fitting - you get the idea though.
